Hi folks!
A little late announcement since I've been reminded to post to
this list. If you weren't yet aware, Slackware 13.0 has been
released. Not only that, but the 7-day page hit statistics on
distrowatch.com are looking pretty good! Could it be that the
huge influx of users Linux has seen over the past years are
gaining more sysadmin experience and finding that Slackware's
"stay out of your way" approach appeals to them? I hope so!
You can find a news item about the release including links to
the official announcement and release notes on the Slackware
home page:
http://slackware.com
Also, here's a link to a great interview with Eric Hameleers
(the main developer behind the "Slackware64" 64-bit x86_64 port)
in Linux Magazine. Thanks again, Eric.

I hope everyone enjoys this new Slackware release. Have fun!
